Moving to a new PC

How many PCs does my plan allow?

• Free · Starter: 1 PC
• Pro: 2 PCs
• Studio: 3 PCs

That's the number of PCs one person can have linked at the same time. If you're at the limit and want to link a new PC, release one of the old ones first. There are two ways to do it.

Option 1. Release from your account first

1. Go to My account > Devices.
2. Click Release next to the PC you no longer use and confirm once.
3. Launch Panohaus on the new PC and link it with the 8-digit code. The steps are the same as Step 3 in Installing Panohaus.

Option 2. Swap directly from the new PC

1. Launch Panohaus on the new PC, note the 8-digit code, and enter it on the link your PC page.
2. If your device limit is full, the same screen lists the PCs currently linked.
3. Pick the PC to release and click Release and link this PC.

You can do the same thing from the sign-in screen inside the program.

Deactivation limits

• You can release devices yourself up to 3 times in any 30-day window. Studio allows 5. This is a rolling 30 days from today, not a calendar month.
• A PC that hasn't connected to the internet for more than 30 days is released automatically, and that does not count toward your limit. See Working offline and automatic release.
• A released PC drops to Free at its next online check (within 6 hours). Project files on that PC stay where they are.
• Your remaining releases are shown in Devices.
• If you've hit the limit, lost the PC, or can't release it because it broke or was wiped, contact support. After confirming your identity by your sign-up email, we'll release it within 1 business day.

A license is for the person who bought it. Repeatedly releasing and linking to share it with others may lead to restrictions.

Moving your project files

A Panohaus project, photos included, lives in a single .ptour file. Copy that file and you're done.

1. Save the project on the old PC and locate the .ptour file.
2. Copy it to the new PC via USB or a cloud drive.
3. Open Panohaus on the new PC and open the copied .ptour file.

If you saved custom skins (.ptskin), copy those too. To be safe, make one extra copy of the .ptour file before you move it.

Your purchases come with you

• Subscriptions (Starter, Pro, Studio) belong to your account. Sign in with the same account on the new PC and the plan applies as before.
• Single-tour export credits and individual skins belong to your account, not a PC. They work on the new PC as-is.
• Tours you've already exported keep working regardless of which PC made them.
