Installing Panohaus (including the Windows protection screen)

Before you start

• Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
• Installer size: about 114MB
• An internet connection (needed to sign in on first launch)

Step 1. Get the installer

1. Go to the download page and click Free download.
2. PanohausSetup.exe is saved to your Downloads folder.

Step 2. Install

1. Double-click the PanohausSetup.exe you just downloaded.
2. Click Next through the setup screens. The default install location is fine.
3. When it finishes, click Finish. A Panohaus icon appears on your desktop and in the Start menu.

If you see "Windows protected your PC"

A blue screen saying "Windows protected your PC" may block the installer. Panohaus is still a new program, so Windows SmartScreen simply hasn't seen it much yet. It does not mean the file is unsafe.

1. Click More info inside the window.
2. Click the Run anyway button that appears below.

This only applies until our code-signing certificate is in place. Once it is, this screen no longer appears.

If you want to make sure your file is genuine, compare its size with the one listed on the download page (about 114MB). Please only download the installer from the official site.

Step 3. First launch and linking your PC

Panohaus needs an account even on the free plan. That's how we manage your license and linked PCs.

1. Launch Panohaus. You'll see a sign-in prompt with an 8-digit code.
2. Open the link your PC page in your browser. It's the same address the program shows you.
3. Sign in with Kakao, Google, or email, or create a free account.
4. Enter the 8-digit code from the program and click Link this PC.
5. Wait a moment and the program connects automatically. You're ready to build tours.

You only need to link each PC once. After that, Panohaus opens straight away. The free plan allows one linked PC.

Common questions

My antivirus flagged the installer. Until the file is signed, some antivirus tools may misidentify it. If you downloaded it from the official site, add it to your antivirus exceptions and run it again. See Won't start or runs slowly for details.

It says my code has expired. Codes are valid for 10 minutes after they're issued. Get a new code from the program and enter it again.

It says I'm already linked on another PC. Free and Starter allow one PC, so you'll need to release the old one first. See Moving to a new PC.
