Sharing and publishing an exported tour
The two export modes, uploading to your website, delivering to clients, opening on a phone, and why tours keep working.
Updated Oct 07, 2026
There are two kinds of export
Exporting produces a single ZIP file. Inside is a folder with index.html plus your photos and skin files. Pick the mode based on where the tour will be viewed.
- Web folder: For uploading to a web server or hosting and sharing by URL
- Offline: For opening by double-clicking index.html with no internet
Panohaus does not provide hosting. You upload the exported files to your own website or hosting. That means no hosting fee paid to Panohaus, and you decide where your tour lives.
Uploading a web folder to your website
- Choose Web folder in the export screen and save the ZIP.
- Unzip it. You get a single folder.
- Upload the entire folder using your hosting's FTP or file manager, under a name like
tour/apt-84a. Don't leave out any file inside it. - Open
https://yourdomain/tour/apt-84a/index.htmlin a browser to check it. Depending on the host, the URL withoutindex.htmlmay also work. - Send that URL to clients or link it from a button on your site.
- To embed it inside a page of your website, ask your web person to "put this URL in an iframe."
- Anywhere that serves static files (HTML) works: your company website, shared web hosting, or free static hosting services.
- When you update the tour, export again and overwrite the same folder. The URL stays the same.
Delivering an offline file to a client
- Choose Offline in the export screen and save the ZIP.
- Send the ZIP as-is by email, messenger, or USB.
- The recipient unzips it and double-clicks index.html inside the folder. The tour opens in their browser.
- Opening directly inside the ZIP without extracting may show no photos. Ask them to unzip first.
- Files inside the folder must not be moved or renamed.
- Offline mode is for viewing on a PC. To make it viewable on phones, upload a web folder and share the URL instead.
Opening on a phone
Open the web folder URL in a phone browser. No app is needed.
- The layout switches to mobile, with finger drag to look around and pinch to zoom.
- There's a gyro button for looking around by moving the phone.
- Each room has its own URL (deep link), so you can make links that start in a specific room.
- Turn the URL into a QR code for brochures or business cards.
It keeps working after your subscription ends
Exported tour files have no expiry mechanism. Even if you cancel or go back to Free, tours you've already exported keep working, with the skin and logo you applied at the time. Plan conditions only apply the next time you export.
Export differences by plan
- Free: 10 panoramas per tour, 4K, watermark
- Starter: 30 panoramas, 6K, no watermark (a small "Made with Panohaus" credit at the bottom)
- Pro: Unlimited panoramas, original up to 8K, your logo, premium skins, no credit shown
- Studio: Everything in Pro, plus full white label (Panohaus mentions in metadata and source are removed too); resale and agency delivery allowed
If you just want one clean export without a subscription, a single-tour export credit does the job. See Pricing.
Still stuck?
If the tour doesn't show at the URL you uploaded to, contact support with that URL and the name of your hosting provider.
